Your topic is same as mine. So last night I tried to find some materials for two hours. I could find cons more about Teacher Evaluation. But in my opinion, we cannot avoid being evaluated in the future. The point is how evaluate teachers. We need a form of evaluation that will reflect a more enlightened view of teaching, that will inspire teacher educators to aim higher their curricular and designing their programs...And another problem is who will evaluate teachers. I object that only a few representive teachers,principal and vice-principal evaluate their company teachers. It's very controversal issue. Not enough answer..I have to think about that more. And if you have some good material, let me know..^^

Teacher evaluation, I think it's needed. But the problem is 'how it can be done effectively? How can it be fair evaluation, not just a survey of popularity. I think I have to think about this issue more... hmm...

I agree with both of you. We can't avoid being evaluated. I think the reason why teachers' associations object the evaluation is 'HOW'. They don't simply refuse to be evaluated. They are asking more sophiscated and prepared evaluating system.

I am for teachers' evaluation because with that, we, teachers have time to think about we are doing our best as professions. But I am very worried about how the evalutaiont can be applied to Korean school sysem rightly.

I agree with the other people who commented on your question. Teacher evaluation is necessary so that students get the best teachers possible but it is so important that the evaluation is fair. I think that independant evaluations should be conducted by teachers who have been specially hired to visit other schools. I don't think that people who haven't taught should not be involved in the process.

Your topic is very serious to every teacher. I agree that teachers evaluvation system is necessary. But the problem is how and who evaluate teachers. In my opinion, if teachers are evaluated by students and their parents, I oppose the evaluation strongly. Because students can give high grade or poor grade to their teachers, teachers can not give them proper punishment when they did wrong. This fact will discourage teacher. In conclusion, if teachers are evaluated by fair method, I am always in favor of teachers evaluation.
