Adieu, 2008!!

Hey~~
How's it going?
Were you happy with a "Secret Santa's present"? I suspect you were all happy when you got the present from your Santa as well as when you were hanging around to get a present for at least one person.
I was really happy because it's been a long time for me to exchange Christmas gifts. I felt like I went back to my younger days. ;)

This week's question is:
When was your most memorable moment around the end of the year?

For me, the end of my 1st grade in high school was the most memorable moment. At that time, I was hanging with four close friends and we had planned to have a Christmas party among us. We went one of our members' house and had a small but sweet party there. I miss them and the old days~~~
Tell me about your unforgettable days, please!! I'd love to hear some interesting stories from you!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)

Hi, Sophie.
For me, I usually went out around the end of the year before marriage. One memorable day was my friend and I went to 광화문 and watched 보신각종 ringing. After hearing the bell, we walked for 1 hours and went home.
Another memorable day was my family went to Jeju island and met a new year there.

Hi, Sophie.
the memorable moment? Let's see.
I can' think of it off hand. I only spent time playing or hanging around at the end of every year. That's all. sorry...

Long long time ago I and my friends went to Young-joo astronomical observatory to see stars and new year's sun rising.
I never forget that awesome moment. I lost my word at that moment. Thanks for reminding me that time.
Happy new year!

Hi, Sophie! When I was young in my twenties, I was depressed about my life. But, from thirties, my life began to spakle gloriously again. Chrismas Eve and the end of the year, I went to church to have mass. From that time, I didn't feel empty or lonesome any more around the end of the year. Surprisingly, once getting something with heart, and then new thing happened to us. It's really true. Sophie, be healthy and happy in new year, too.

Hi Sophie,
I'm glad that you enjoyed exchanging Secret Santa gifts.
I've had a lot of memorable 'end of year' experiences as I used to have holidays around that time of year. One of my most memorable was spending New Year's Eve in a huge cave in Turkey. There were belly dancers, musicians and tons of local people celebrating. At midnight, all the families there exchanged gifts and we ran outside to dance and sing around a huge fire. There was snow on the ground and bright stars shining in the sky.
